Historic London Market Hosts Free Winter Fashion Show

Spitalfields, London – At 1pm on the 10th December 2010, Old Spitalfields Market, near Liverpool Street Station, will be showcasing the best in winter fashion on a specially-constructed 30ft long catwalk which will act as the focal point for the afternoon’s event. The show, which is free to attend, will be themed around a Winter in Moscow and Festive Frolics – set in the splendour of the Victorian indoor market hall, which has been decked out for the Christmas season. Drawing on a rich vein of fashion excellence that runs throughout the area, the day’s events are a true collaboration between retailers, designers, hair stylists and beauty specialists. Shoppers will benefit from a 10% discount for 1 day only in Jigsaw, Dolly Dare and Traffic People. Ellie Barnatt, events manager at OSM, commented: “This is will a unique showcase in the lead up to Christmas of the fantastic range of clothing available at OSM. Many of our retailers have come together to celebrate the diverse fashion offerings that the shops and market stalls have here.” “With Christmas fast approaching we hope this will provide visitors to Old Spitalfields Market with an opportunity to choose that perfect party oufit!” Retailers including Jigsaw, Foxbat, Dollydare, Traffic People, Area 142 , Agnes B and Lulu and Lush - also known as FairyGothMother, will display a range of fashion and accessories on the catwalk, accompanied by music and commentary. Urban Hair is providing hair styling with FoxBat and Sphere Gallery decorating the shows.
