St. Austell Nursery and Pre-School Re-Opens Following Flooding

St. Austell, Cornwall, UK – 19th November 2010 – Following the devastating floods that hit St. Austell earlier this week, staff at The Kids Academy located at the Stadium Retail Park, Par, have rallied round to enable the nursery and pre-school facility to re-open on Monday 22nd November. Wayne Wedgbury, director of The Kids Academy, said: ”Fortunately, we have a number of upstairs rooms that were completely unaffected by the flooding.” “With a lot of hard work, the team here has managed to get us to a position of being able to re-open, albeit at a reduced level. Importantly, parents and carers will be able to drop their children off on Monday morning. We are in the process of trying to contact all of our existing customers to let them know what’s happening. “Unfortunately, our landlines are down at the moment, so if anyone needs to contact us, they will need to ring via our mobile on 07979 243 254. “Over the coming days, we will be working hard to fully open the ground floor, but after 2-3 feet of flood water, it’s going to take a little while. “We’ve had lots of messages of support and many kind offers of help and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone.
