PartnerTech carries out an industrialization project in corporation with Ericsson Radio Access PartnerTech has been designated as partner in an industrialization project involving a number of TMA units of Ericsson Radio Access. The project resulted in serial production in June. TMA (Tower Mounted Amplifier) is an amplifier for radio signals from mobile telephones. The annual turnover of the project is estimated to be approximately 120 MSEK. Industrialization comprises several different factors. To start with, there must be a functioning prototype. The product then goes through a number of different phases up to serial production and the finished product. The product must comply with the requirements of the authorities and be adapted to a cost-effective production process. In many cases, suitable suppliers of material and components need to be chosen, and logistics problems concerning both production resources and customer deliveries must be solved. It goes without saying that quality and environmental aspects must also permeate the project. Through PartnerTech's ongoing assistance from the beginning of the idea to the finished product, all of these factors can be taken into account early in the design stage. This results in that "the time to market" is being considerably reduced, and the total cost being as low as possible because expensive redesigning can be avoided. "This project is an excellent example of our breadth and competence. It involves everything from the production of prototypes in Järfälla to serial production using high speed processes in Storfors to the assembly and final testing in Åtvidaberg," says PartnerTech CEO Mikael Jonson.
