PacketFront, a world-leading Swedish supplier of purpose-built and intelligent solutions for broadband networks, has now begun strategic cooperation with contract manufacturer PartnerTech. The two-year agreement is expected to be worth more than SEK 300 million to PartnerTech and covers the provision of materials, as well as production and distribution. The first deliveries are scheduled at the end of the year.

The order involves routers and other broadband equipment. The end customers are broadband operators such as municipal networks and power providers that in turn offer triple play services (IP telephony, television and high-speed Internet). President Martin Thunman of PacketFront says, “PartnerTech’s flexibility, service level and technical skills reflect the breadth of expertise needed to manufacture our high-tech products going forward. Along with a cost effective production this has been a decisive factor in our choice of business partner. We are confident that this agreement has set the stage for us to meet our business targets. It will allow us to concentrate our efforts on improving and marketing products for new customers and markets.” "One of our big competitive advantages in this agreement has been our ability to take an integrated approach to both the product and the supplier chain," says CEO Mikael Jonson of PartnerTech. "Handling these types of world-leading products is both challenging and stimulating, particularly in a sector as expansive as broadband technology." PartnerTech's plants in Vellinge, Sweden and Sieradz, Poland will handle production, distribution and the provision of materials.
