Contract manufacturer PartnerTech and energy and environmental technology group Opcon have signed an agreement for new product introduction and production of Opcon Powerboxes. Running initially for three years, the aim of the agreement is to enable annual production capacity of 300 units within 18-24 months.

"With its industrial skills, global supply chain and unquestioned production expertise, PartnerTech is a good fit for us in our current industrialisation phase," says Opcon President and CEO Rolf Hasselström. “This collaboration provides vital support in adapting our processes to shorter delivery times and greater cost-effectiveness, not to mention the flexibility to ramp up to large-scale production. Given the global potential of Opcon Powerbox technology, we need these types of industrial but responsive structures." Adaptation of production has already begun and initial deliveries are scheduled for the second half of 2010. PartnerTech will be the Opcon Energy Systems business area's primary contract manufacturer. "We are very proud of the confidence that Opcon has shown in us," says Rune Glavare, President and CEO of PartnerTech. “It is an acknowledgement that our CleanTech market area has put together a strong offering and the skills needed to manufacture large environmental technology systems. Our industrial structure, global supply chain and refined manufacturing expertise guarantee that our customers have efficient, cost-effective and flexible production."
