PartnerTech Signs Agreement with Biotage Worth SEK 90 Million Contract manufacturer PartnerTech has signed an agreement with biotech developer Biotage to become exclusive supplier of its new microwave synthesis system. The assignment, which includes both production and after-sales service, will boost PartnerTech's revenue by some SEK 90 million over three years. "This is the logical next step in our longstanding alliance with PartnerTech," says Biotage CEO Jeff Bork. "We worked closely with PartnerTech's development unit while designing the system," continues Bork. "Not only did that save time and money during the new product introduction phase, but it ensures an ongoing focus on improvement and cost effectiveness. We need a supplier who can take part in the development process and assume part of the responsibility for after-sales support. That leaves us more time for marketing activities and strengthening the leading position that we have already established." "Biotage has a dynamic approach to development and is an excellent partner that always challenges us to grow and evolve," says PartnerTech CEO Mikael Jonson. "That makes us stronger all the way around. We're very proud that Biotage has chosen us as exclusive manufacturer of this complex, high-tech system." Biotage is a market leader in the microwave synthesis stage of drug development. The new system is compact, flexible, user-friendly and cost-effective. Such qualities make it particularly attractive in individual microwave synthesis systems, an exciting new segment for Biotage.
