Limited liability companies and co-operatives that have not filed financial statements risk being struck off the Trade Register
The Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH), which maintains the Finnish Trade Register, will deregister or place into receivership limited liability companies and co-operatives that have not filed their financial statements for registration. The third deregistration in 2024 now includes circa 4.700 limited liability companies and co-operatives.
The companies in the third deregistration must file their financial statements with the Trade Register by 11 September 2024.
See the list of the companies in the deregistration (a reminder recorded on 27.5.2024):
- Go to the prh.fi website about companies risking deregistration, in Finnish.
- Go to the prh.fi website about companies risking deregistration, in Swedish.
The PRH can deregister even an active limited liability company or co-operative if they do not file the financial statements by the deadline and if there is no basis for ordering the company into liquidation. Deregistration will take place in October 2024.
If the company is deregistered from the Trade Register, the company can appeal the decision at the Administrative Court of Helsinki.
Deregistration from the Trade Register or receivership is based in each case on either the Finnish Limited Liability Companies Act or the Finnish Co-operatives Act.
