SQUIRE SANDERS LAWYER SELECTED PRESIDENT-ELECT DESIGNATE OF AMERICAN HEALTH LAWYERS ASSOCIATION
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Peter A. Pavarini, a partner in Squire Sanders' Columbus office has been named President-Elect Designate of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), the nation's largest, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) educational organization devoted to healthcare legal issues. In that role, Pavarini will serve a four-year term and will be president of AHLA in 2014 and continue as a member of the AHLA Board of Directors.
"I'm honored that the AHLA Board has selected me to serve as its President-Elect Designate," said Pavarini. "I look forward to working with the AHLA leadership team and our 11,000 members to ensure the U.S. legal community is well-equipped to meet the challenges and opportunities presented by our rapidly changing healthcare system."
Pavarini is a member of the Squire Sanders Healthcare Practice Group and co-chair of its Health Reform Task Force, which has overseen a multidisciplinary response to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 on behalf of clients. Pavarini focuses his practice on the representation of hospitals and other healthcare providers in a wide range of strategic, regulatory and transactional matters, particularly physician alignment models and the development of clinically integrated provider organizations. He has devoted his legal career to addressing the challenges and opportunities presented by regulatory reforms and marketplace trends.
