RFID Credentials Help Venues Connect with Patrons and Improve the Guest Experience

PDC, the global leader of innovative identification solutions, will exhibit its wide selection of RFID wristbands, lanyards, and other credentials at the 2014 RFID Journal LIVE! Conference and Exhibition, from April 8 to 10, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. RFID Journal LIVE! is the industry’s largest and most comprehensive conference and exhibition for RFID tracking and management.

RFID Journal LIVE! will prominently showcase PDC’s Smart® SuperBand® Full Color RFID Wristbands, Smart® Wristband Kiosk, and Smart® Cards and Badges as attendees enter the event. In PDC’s booth #338, attendees will have the opportunity to view a demo and learn how PDC’s RFID credentials are used for keyless locker and hotel room entry, so patrons no longer have the hassle of carrying around a wallet or keys. Visitors to PDC’s booth can also participate in a mobile point-of-sale application, provided by KioWare, where PDC’s RFID wristbands will be read by a PDC Smart® Tablet for fast and easy cashless transactions.

“Since Disney recently debuted its own ‘magic’ RFID wristband system to customize the guest experience, venues are catching on to the endless possibilities of guest-focused applications that RFID wristbands can offer,” said Robin Barber, vice president of leisure and entertainment for PDC. “Our RFID products help businesses position themselves as technological leaders – setting them ahead of their competition – while allowing their patrons to make cashless purchases, access hotel rooms without keys, and many more applications with just a quick flick of the wrist.”

All show attendees will receive a PDC Smart Band® RFID wristband when they arrive. They can then register their Smart Band® and link it to their Facebook account to instantly share event-branded photos from a free photo booth, provided by RFID Journal and partner Connect & Go, that will be on display at the event. Visitors can also have their wristband scanned at both PDC’s booth and Metalcraft’s booth (#710B) for a chance to win gift cards and a grand prize of a 64GB iPad® Air.

Since its launch in 2001, PDC’s Smart Band® RFID Wristband System has been implemented at facilities across the globe as part of time-saving applications that help redefine the guest experience, while reaping significant bottom line benefits to the businesses that use them. Additional PDC RFID Solutions include PDC Smart® Cards, Key Fobs, Lanyards, Labels, and Parking Passes. For more information, visit http://www.pdcsolutions.com/rfid-solutions.html.
