Pearson AND SAN-PRO open the first pte academic test center in bulgaria
LONDON - Pearson has announced the opening of its first test center for the delivery of PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) in Bulgaria, working in partnership with SAN-PRO. PTE Academic is Pearson’s secure English language test, accepted by universities and colleges worldwide, as well as the UK Border Agency and the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship for visa applications. The test center will offer frequent testing sessions for PTE Academic in Varna.
SAN-PRO, a provider of English language courses, has been representing Pearson in Bulgaria for the past 20 years and was already delivering PTE General and PTE Young Learners courses before becoming a PTE Academic test center. Evlogi Savov, Managing Director, SAN-PRO Bulgaria, said: “We see this as a logical and natural extension of the services we offer to our students. We have over 20 years of experience in English language teaching and are pleased to offer the most flexible English language test on the market.”
Emma Stubbs, Senior Vice President, Language Testing, said: “We are very happy that SAN-PRO has invested in a PTE Academic test center. Currently there are 80,000 Bulgarian students studying abroad and we can offer them an English language test that is flexible, secure and reliable.”
Students who want to take PTE Academic can register up to 48 hours before a testing session and will receive their results typically within 5 business days. The test is completed in a single three-hour test session and assesses students’ speaking, reading, listening and writing skills so that they have a clear indication of their English language ability.
