FundedByMe announces addition of two new board members experienced in stock market listing and operations.
Scandinavia’s fastest-growing crowdfunding platform, FundedByMe, today announced the addition of two additional board members. Johan Lund and Johan Gorecki have both accepted positions on the FundedByMe board with immediate effect bringing sought after stock market experience.
Johan Lund, CEO and founder of FrontOffice Nordic (FRNT MTF B), a company reconstruction firm based in Sweden, is a qualified economist. He developed the FrontOffice model, which includes, in addition to financing, counseling in areas such as entrepreneurship, financial management, law, marketing and sales. Under Lund’s guidance FrontOffice launched its crowdfunding campaign on FundedByMe on 25 November 2015 and closed it in mid-February 2016 after overfunding up to 111% from 183 investors. The company listed on the Nordic Growth Market stock exchange in mid-May 2016, making it the fastest crowdfunding campaign to list publicly in the Nordics to date. “The decision to join this company that I have been working with so closely over the past year was an easy one,” says Johan Lund. “I see the potential, passion and truly believe that with my guidance we can make FundedByMe even better.”
Johan Gorecki works within Corporate Finance at the listed company Retail and Brands (RnB) and is founder and CEO of Globe Forum, an internationally recognized marketplace for sustainable innovation. Johan is also the founder of Globe Award, the leading sustainability prize for innovation. He has worked with the international entertainment-broadcasting group Modern Times Group (MTG) where he was responsible for the internet portal Everyday AB. He is a board member of the Swedish–Polish Chamber of Commerce and the Solar energy company Solarus. “I’ve known Daniel Daboczy for a while and I see the disruptive potential that FundedByMe has. With a company that has the ambitions that FundedByMe has and a potential stock market listing in its future, I feel positive that I can add unique value,” says Johan Gorecki.
And Daniel Daboczy, CEO and co-founder of FundedByMe, agrees. “We are super excited to have two such experienced individuals joining our already experienced board.” he says. “With three Johan’s (Chairman Johan Jörgenson was the first), myself and Choon-Seng Tan in Singapore comprising the FundedByMe board the future is looking global.” he concludes.
