Patent protection in the United States strengthens PeptiSystems’ intellectual property position in a key pharmaceutical market and supports its strategy to enable customers to scale efficiently — from process development to commercial production.

The company’s flow-through column technology improves resource efficiency by reducing the consumption of reagents and solvents, resulting in more cost-efficient and sustainable production with a lower environmental footprint. By enabling continuous flow manufacturing, the technology also significantly reduces production times.

“Securing patent protection in the U.S. is a significant milestone for PeptiSystems and strengthens our position in a strategically important market,” says Karin Granath, CEO of PeptiSystems. “We are now advancing into the next phase of our development, with a clear focus on enabling large-scale peptide manufacturing. Demand for peptide-based therapeutics, including GLP-1 analogs, continues to grow rapidly, placing increasing demands on production capacity, cost efficiency, and scalability. Our solution is designed to meet these needs, offering a more cost- and resource-efficient, scalable alternative to conventional manufacturing methods.”

PeptiSystems’ instruments enable automated peptide synthesis with enhanced process control and real-time monitoring compared to traditional batch-based methods. They also facilitate linear scale-up from small-scale development to large-scale production, supporting consistent and predictable performance across scales.

The patent is part of a broader global intellectual property strategy, with corresponding applications filed in several major markets.
