Peptonic receives first order from Windsor Pharmaceuticals in Central America

Peptonic Medical AB (publ) today announced that it has received its first order in Central America from Windsor Pharmaceuticals.

"It is gratifying that Windsor now is ready to launch our products in El Salvador and Panama. We see great potential in this region and expect launches in more countries next year," said Erik Sundquist, CEO of Peptonic.

The order from Windsor Pharmaceuticals is for Peptonic's vaginal self-tests VagiVital AL Sense, for detecting amniotic fluid leakage during pregnancy, and VagiVital VS Sense Pro for diagnosing bacterial vaginosis. Both products are aimed at professional users such as midwives and gynecologists.

The initial order includes ten thousand units of each product to be used for training and sales to healthcare facilities. The products will be delivered during fourth quarter.

"I am pleased to see how well AL Sense has been received by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Security in El Salvador, but also in other Central American countries such as Panama. We also see an increased interest in Honduras and Guatemala for both AL Sense and VS Sense Pro," said Christian Naumann, owner and Director of Windsor Pharmaceuticals, which covers all of Central America and the Dominican Republic.

The order from Windsor Pharmaceuticals is made under the distribution agreement signed in early 2023 which runs for four years, with a possibility of extension. Windsor Pharmaceuticals will sell the products under its own brand Amniotest.

VagiVital VS is a clinically proven self-test that diagnoses symptoms of bacterial vaginosis and vaginal yeast infections with 92% accuracy. The test is performed on vaginal fluid and indicates the result within 30 seconds.

VagiVital AL is a clinically proven self-test with 97% accuracy that distinguishes amniotic fluid leakage from urine leakage. The self-test consists of a pad with a patented biofilm on its surface where a result by color change is indicated 15 minutes after the pad has become moist. The only alternative to self-testing today is a full-fledged gynecological examination.
