Pergo grants license for click-joints

Pergo grants license for click-joints Kaindl, Kronospan and Kronotex, which together are the world's largest laminate flooring producer, have signed license agreements with Pergo. This entitles them to produce and sell world-wide laminate flooring products with some of Pergo's patented click-joints. Pergo will receive license fees starting from the fourth quarter 2002. - "This represents an industry recognition of the strength of our patents", says Pergo's CEO, Mr Raimo Issal. Mohawk Industries, one of the largest US-flooring companies, will be able to continue to sell laminate flooring with click joints because of its supply agreement with the above companies. Pergo will withdraw its filings for patent infringement against Mohawk Industries, which were made earlier this year. Pergo will continue to vigorously assert its patent rights in the USA against Shaw Industries Inc., Witex USA Inc., Alloc Inc., Berry Finance N.V. and Armstrong World Industries.
