Pergo is granted a new patent in the US In July 2002, Pergo was granted a new patent for clickjoints by the US Patent and Trademark Office, USPTO. The patent is valid for the US- market where Pergo has a leading position. This patent is in addition to the patent Pergo was awarded by the USPTO in June 2002. As a consequence, Pergo has today filed an action for patent infringement to safeguard its patent rights in the federal court in New York that is in addition to the action Pergo filed in June this year. This additional action not only includes Armstrong World Industries, Mohawk Industries, Shaw Industries Inc., and Witex USA Inc., but also Alloc, Inc. and Berry Finance N.V., after Alloc and Berry initiated an invalidity and non-infringement action against the Pergo patent received in June this year. Pergo focuses on innovation and product development and has during the last 18 months applied for over 30 patents.
