Pergo reorganizes and serves redundancy notices in Trelleborg

Pergo reorganizes and serves redundancy notices in Trelleborg As part of the action program announced earlier by Pergo, the company is reviewing its existing organization. The European organization and several support units are currently being reorganized. In regard to the European organization, redundancy notices covering 15 salaried employees in Trelleborg have today been submitted to the Regional Employment Board. Codetermination negotiations with union representatives have been initiated. Work on the promotion of the Pergo brand will be conducted exclusively through the company's regional marketing functions. This means that the corporate marketing function will be discontinued. As a result, Joacim von Bodungen, Senior Vice President Marketing, has announced his resignation and will leave Pergo, effective December 14, 2001. Distribution operations in Europe have been reviewed and as of December 14, 2001, the distribution warehouse in Metz, France, will be closed. This means that as of today's date, the center in Trelleborg will also handle all distribution in central Europe.
