Dr. Kuran will discuss Petra Solar’s approach of combining solar and Smart Grid technology and how it enhances the reliability of the grid and reduces the cost of solar.

“Petra Solar’s SunWave™ systems combine generating solar energy with building a Smart Grid infrastructure to enhance grid reliability.  Not only are we focused on smart solar solutions that improve the efficiency of the national utility grid, we are very deeply committed to supporting the communities in which we operate through the creation of local jobs and the many other secondary economic benefits that follow.  We are honored that Jefferies values our expertise in the emerging area of solar and Smart Grid and are excited to participate in the conference,” said Dr. Kuran.

Dr. Kuran’s participation today in the Jefferies Clean Technology Conference follows a recent presentation at the Networked Solar conference, the first ever conference to focus on the convergence of Smart Grid and solar.  As a leader in this area, Dr. Kuran presented the keynote address highlighting how Petra Solar’s innovative SunWave technology combines distributed solar energy generation with Smart Grid communications and improved grid reliability features to create a comprehensive utility grade solution.
