Phoenix Software, one of the UK’s leading software resellers, has successfully achieved Gold Competency awards for both Volume Licensing and Software Asset Management (SAM) in the Microsoft Partner Network. The company is one of only a handful of Microsoft partners in the UK who have managed to attain SAM Competency.

To earn Microsoft Gold Competencies, an organisation must meet strict criteria to prove it is an expert in the relevant discipline. Phoenix completed a rigorous set of tests to prove its expertise and that it had a well trained workforce with all the correct Microsoft qualifications. Phoenix also managed to demonstrate excellent customer service and a commitment to customer satisfaction in both areas by providing glowing references, as well as through the results of the latest annual customer survey.

Sam Mudd, Director of Phoenix Software, said:

“This certification showcases our expertise in the fields of Volume Licensing and Software Asset Management. It assures our customers of the highest levels of knowledge and customer service –something they have rightly come to expect of Phoenix.”

Jon Roskill, Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corporation, concluded: “The Microsoft Partner Network is designed to empower solution providers to succeed in today’s business environment. By achieving the prestigious Gold competency, participating companies are provided with a rich set of benefits, including increased customer visibility through branding and accessibility, training and support.”

The Microsoft Gold Competency signifies that a company has demonstrated the highest level of skill and achievement within a given technology specialisation. All 28 Microsoft competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner’s specific technology capabilities, helping customers to find providers quickly and easily. Each competency has a unique set of requirements and benefits, formulated to accurately represent the specific skills and services that partners bring to the industry.

The Microsoft Partner Network is designed to equip organisations that deliver products and services based on the Microsoft platform with the training, resources and support needed to provide customers with a superior experience.

Formed in 1990, Phoenix Software is one of the UK’s leading software resellers. Today, Phoenix is based in Pocklington, East Yorkshire, employs 120 people and has a turnover of over £65M. The company prides itself on offering good value, quality products alongside excellent customer service.
