Pieminister leads the way in the British pie revolution, and now the people of Amsterdam can join Britain’s pie lovers with the launch of Pieminister’s first overseas shop.

Located in the heart of Amsterdam on Oude Hoogstraat, Pieminister is just a few minutes’ walk from Dam Square and Central Train Station.  Visitors and locals alike head there to enjoy the best of British pie-making and it’s become a must-go destination for British and Antipodean expats too, longing for a ‘taste of home’.

Pieminister customers can simply choose a pie to eat on its own or try it the ‘British way’ with buttery mashed potato, rich gravy (or groovy!) and minted mushy peas.  Inside, the shop is kitted out to reflect Pieminister’s signature style and humour with plenty of space to sit and eat in comfort.  The pies can also be taken away hot in an eco-box, or cold to heat up at home.

There are plenty of pies from Pieminister’s award winning range to choose from, including Pieminister’s new pies:

  • the free ranger pie: free range British chicken and outdoor reared ham hock with leek and west country cheddar
  • peahock pie: British outdoor reared ham hock with garden peas and mustard
  • fungi chicken pie: free range British chicken with chestnut and field mushrooms

And for those looking for another great British tradition to sample, Pieminister also makes very fine sausage rolls.  Another favourite with Amsterdam’s expat community, these are made with the best quality pork blended with herbs and rolled in a layer of flaky pastry.  Delicious on their own they make the perfect snack to enjoy at any time.

Pieminister Amsterdam is open from 12pm every day until late into the evening. As well as Pieminister’s signature pie range there’s a great selection of teas and cakes too.  And with bottled cider and beer on tap customers can wash their favourite pie down with a refreshing English ‘pint’!

All Pieminister pies are made in Bristol, England, using the very best ethically sourced ingredients and are well known for their outstanding quality and taste.  In fact, all the pies are winners in Britain’s prestigious Great Taste Awards.
