Pihlajalinna chosen as Tervola municipality's social and healthcare services partner

Tervola Municipal Council chose Pihlajalinna as partner for the municipality's social and healthcare services in its meeting held on Thursday night, 10 November, 2016. The Council made the decision in the matter for the second time. The Municipal Council selected Pihlajalinna as the municipality's partner in social and health care services on 8 September, but the procurement decision was returned to the Council for a second examination. The Municipal Board deemed that decision-makers who were disqualified had participated in making the Council's decision.

According to tendering, the contract's duration is at least 10 years and at most 15 years. Provisionally, the service production begins on 1 July 2017. Tervola municipality's population is about 3,200 and the contract's value is about EUR 13 million per year.

The temporary act restricting municipalities' complete social and healthcare outsourcings will be taken into account in actual contract negotiations. Final terms of agreement will be specified during negotiations.
