Death metal band Nightrage releases new album and becomes ambassadors for Pindify
The Greek/Swedish death metal band Nightrage has now decided to extend their digital presence to Pindify - a new digital media platform designed to empower artists and creatives who want access to fair and transparent earnings distributions - in exchange for publishing their content. Nightrage have also agreed to be ambassadors for Pindify just in time to release their most recent eighth album on March 29th.
Nightrage first discovered Pindify via a professional photographer who was publishing content to the site.
“What made us decide to join Pindify was because they have the artists best interests at heart. In that way it almost feels too good to be true, and we feel like we got nothing to lose on this,” says Marios Iliopoulos, guitarist and founder of Nightrage.
Iliopoulos has been the social media manager responsible for updating the band’s social channels. Their new strategy is to use Pindify as their main social channel for fan interaction and various content they plan to publish.
“It (Pindify) is also better for the fans, because here they can find other artists and creator’s exclusive content and not just the work of a single artist as they would through, for example Patreon,” Iliopoulos continues.
Founded in 2000, Nightrage is a melodic death metal band. Up until now they have released seven albums, all of which, with the exception of the most recent two, were represented by the Stockholm record label Despotz Records. Despotz will again be representing Nightrage as they release their eighth album ”Wolf to Man” on the 29th of March.
“We share a good relation with our label, and as a band we need a label to have our backs and help us with promotion and distribution of our music. Touring and releasing records is a costly affair however. Pindify gives us an opportunity to have extra income for the hard work we already put down,” Iliopoulos concludes.
