Poolia appoints new head of UK operations

Poolia has appointed Lynda Pickess as the new head of its UK subsidiary. “Poolia Parker Bridge has developed favourably since it began operations 15 years ago, and with Lynda at the helm, this trend will continue at an even higher pace,” says Poolia’s CEO Erik Strand.

Lynda Pickess comes from a position of sales director at Manpower UK, with responsibility for new business, key account relations and the development of pricing and sales strategies. She has also been instrumental in leading strategic global sales initiatives on behalf of Manpower’s global sales council. Previously, Lynda Pickess has held positions in both middle and senior management in sales and operational roles for Inchcape, Audi and ING.

She is a highly motivated sales manager and accustomed to coaching sales organisations at both a strategic and practical level. Lynda Pickess will report directly to CEO Erik Strand.

The company has been highly successful in the UK market, both as an entrepreneurial growth company and following its acquisition by Poolia on 1 January 2004. During 2004, Poolia Parker Bridge generated sales corresponding to SEK 315 M from its local offices in London, Reading and Edinburgh.
