PLAGAZI COMPLETES CAPITAL RAISE ("SERIES-A") WITH GOTLANDSBOLAGET AS INDUSTRIAL LEAD INVESTOR SECURING 53MSEK.
Plagazi AB (publ) ("Plagazi or the "Company") has together with Vator Securities AB ("Vator Securities") successfully completed several directed new share issues to new and existing shareholders, raising SEK 53 million for the Company ("Series-A"). As previously communicated, Gotland Tech Development AB, part of Rederi AB Gotland (publ) ("Gotlandsbolaget"), has taken on the role of industrial lead investor.
The capital raise, which has been led by Vator Securities, will have a significant role in Plagazi's future expansion and demonstrates the confidence in Plagazi from major industrial anchor investors such as Gotlandsbolaget. Gotlandsbolaget's decision comes after several months of financial, legal and technical due-diligence and Gotlandsbolaget will subsequently take a seat on Plagazi’s Board of Directors to actively contribute to Plagazi’s development.
Plagazi's patented process and production of renewable and circular hydrogen at a competitive price enables strong business opportunities between the companies. Gotlandsbolagets sees an investment in Plagazi of strategic importance for the company's future hydrogen-powered vessel, Gotland Horizon and Gotland Hydrocat. Gotlandsbolaget and Plagazi are now laying the foundation for a long-term, strategic and leading relationship between the companies.
In addition to Gotlandsbolaget, existing shareholders, including Falkenberg Investment Group and the Granberg family, as well as new shareholders have participated in the new issuances. The issuances have secured additional capital to accelerate the Company's most advanced projects in Europe and the proceeds will also be used to expand the Company's organization and working capital.
Vator Securities AB has acted as financial advisor and sole bookrunner in connection with the new issuances, and Advokatfirman Lindahl has acted as legal advisor to the company.
