3Dent dental clinic in Moscow believes in design, innovation and digital dentistry
The 3Dent dental clinic in Moscow is thoroughly equipped with the most innovative digital technology available. From CAD/CAM to CBCT imaging, the clinic has chosen the very latest solutions Planmeca has to offer.
“Our clinic strives to be completely digital, just as our name suggests,” explains CEO Alexander Nazarenko when presenting his clinic 3Dent, the International Center of Digital Aesthetic Dentistry based in Moscow. “3D technology is utilised throughout the treatment process, right from the diagnostics stage.”
Before founding 3Dent some 1.5 years ago, Nazarenko, who is originally a dental technician, was running a digital dental laboratory in Moscow. When setting up his new clinic and expanding into dental care services, he chose to include a dental laboratory in the new clinic as well.
Planmeca was chosen as the equipment provider. “Visiting their production facilities convinced us of the quality of their operations. We were also looking for a manufacturer who could offer us a complete all-in-one solution. The Planmeca Romexis® software connects all Planmeca devices, which was an important factor for us. Everything from treatment planning to final restorations can be done in one environment.”
At 3Dent, it is standard procedure that almost all patients have their intraoral scans taken before treatment using the Planmeca Emerald™ intraoral scanner. “Especially children love to see what their intraoral scans look like. It’s also a great way to connect with them as kids just love all gadgets and devices.”
The Planmeca PlanScan® Lab desktop scanner is used to digitalise and archive all older orthodontic cases, which means that physical models no longer need to be stored at the clinic.
The clinic has two Planmeca Sovereign® Classic dental units and two Planmeca Compact™ i Touch units. “The chairs are just so comfortable. Whenever I receive treatment myself, I feel so relaxed that I could fall asleep. Once we had a patient who insisted on having an extensive treatment done as quickly as possible. She was willing to spend three days in a row in the chair, 12 hours at a time. That really would not have been possible without Planmeca’s Ultra Relax™ upholstery.”
The individual dental unit settings of Planmeca dental units are also greatly appreciated by 3Dent’s staff, and the Romexis® Clinic Management module is considered an invaluable asset when it comes to technical support.
It goes without saying that the value of design has been well acknowledged at 3Dent. Nazarenko’s wife Elena, who works as an orthodontist at the clinic, has been in charge of its interior colour scheme. “Of course, she has the most beautiful room in the entire clinic,” Nazarenko says, jokingly.
Nazarenko continues that design was one of the most important factors which led him to choose Planmeca. He wanted to find equipment that would look good and current not only now, but also in the future. “Planmeca’s units will look good for years to come. In addition, patient safety, reliability and technical support were important to us. And we have never been disappointed by our choice,” Nazarenko concludes.
