The Nordic Institute of Dental Education (NIDE) has been approved by the American Dental Association’s prestigious Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP). NIDE is the first Nordic education provider to receive the recognition.

ADA CERP is the leader in approval of continuing education programs in the field of dentistry. It was established in 1993 to assist dental professionals in selecting high-quality providers of continuing dental education.

“It is wonderful that the quality of our education export company has been recognized by such an esteemed program. This is very significant step for the NIDE brand and its international growth potential,” states Kalervo Väänänen, the Rector of the University of Turku.

Founded in 2014, the Nordic Institute of Dental Education is a joint venture of Planmeca and the University of Turku. NIDE specializes in providing high-quality courses in Finland for dental professionals from around the world.

“We believe that the ADA CERP recognition will be strongly valued by our customers, as they highly appreciate the quality of education. The rigorous review process by ADA has helped us to further strengthen our processes and management systems. This recognition is clear evidence of our competence,” comments Jenni Pajunen, CEO of the Nordic Institute of Dental Education.

The University of Turku awards ECTS credits and certificates to all NIDE course participants. As of spring 2016, NIDE has hosted learners from 15 different countries. “Digital dentistry is revolutionizing the work of dental professionals – we exist to help them adapt to the latest trends and technologies,” Pajunen further illuminates.

In addition to its versatile standard course selection, NIDE also organizes custom-made courses for larger groups, as well as tailored postgraduate curriculum programs.

The Nordic Institute of Dental Education’s ADA CERP recognition is valid from 1 May 2016.
