Planmeca Romexis® Dental PACS combines treatment planning and archiving of all images – also 3rd party data – in one database
Planmeca is pleased to introduce Planmeca Romexis® Dental PACS, the first software platform to allow image archiving, viewing and treatment planning in a single software. Romexis Dental PACS can also store images from 3rd party devices, which makes it a complete all-in-one solution for various types of customers.
As the first dental PACS to offer archiving and treatment planning in the same software, Planmeca Romexis® Dental PACS has been designed specifically for the needs of dental group practices, hospitals and universities.
Unlike other image archiving and communication systems, Romexis Dental PACS allows not only viewing all 2D, 3D and STL images but also includes full dental treatment planning capabilities, including CAD/CAM. This removes the need to export images to separate software of 3D viewing or treatment planning – greatly reducing the need for clinic staff to learn to use different software platforms and for IT staff to install, maintain and back up different systems.
Romexis Dental PACS can be used as a device-independent centralised image archive of the dental chain as it allows DICOM storage of images from compatible 3rd party X-ray software. Moreover, the Romexis software is able to archive intraoral scans, either natively from Romexis or as DICOM storage from compatible 3rd party software. Built on the scalable Romexis platform, which is already globally used by thousands of enterprise customers, it can meet the needs of any organisation. It also supports industry standard security features such as encryption, logging and user management in Microsoft Active Directory to help customers comply with regulatory requirements such as GDPR and HIPAA.
