A: Planmeca Romexis is called an all-in-one software solution because all types of data can be captured, viewed, and processed in the same software application. There is no need for several separate pieces of software as all data from 2D and 3D images to photos and CAD/CAM cases can be managed and combined in one application. Easy-to-use interface, shared database, and versatile tools ensure efficient workflow.
Q: What if I only need one or some of the functionalities?
A: Planmeca Romexis is a modular software solution. This means you can pick which ever modules and tools you might need. You can always upgrade your Planmeca Romexis license later on, if and when you need more functionalities. You can also customise the user interface for specific user groups. This way each user group only sees what they need to see while using the interface.
Q: What benefits does Planmeca Romexis offer to clinic chains?
A: Planmeca Romexis is a fully scalable client-server software solution for customers of all sizes. In good network environments multiple offices can be connected to a single Planmeca Romexis server, allowing real-time sharing of patient data and centralised backup. The software itself contains many features designed to help organisations with managing large volumes of information in compliance with local regulations. Planmeca Romexis works in Citrix environments and the software also includes privacy features such as user permissions, audit trail and compatibility with Microsoft Active Directory single sign-on (SSO).
Q: I have other manufacturer’s equipment in my clinic. Can I still use Planmeca Romexis?
A: Yes, Planmeca Romexis is an open and compatible software solution, which allows exporting and importing all standard formats of 2D and 3D data. By using TWAIN standard also other manufacturers’ 2D imaging equipment can be integrated with Planmeca Romexis. Most patient management systems can be integrated through PMBridge library, which is available as a free software development kit (SDK) on Planmeca’s website. Planmeca Romexis also has direct quick launch buttons to many other software solutions.
