Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to test Planmed Verity® Extremity Scanner

A research collaboration between the Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, MA) and Finnish Planmed Oy is studying the benefits and value of 3D imaging options of CBCT technology for imaging of extremities. The Planmed Verity® Extremity Scanner was installed in the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston in February, and the objective of this research project is to investigate the feasibility of this device in various applications. In addition, the image quality, speed of examination, and accuracy of diagnosis of this new device is being assessed in relation to traditional CT
