Plastipak brings excellence in rigid plastic packaging to the Nordic market
Plastipak Packaging (formerly APPE), market leader in the design, development and manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging in Europe, is exhibiting at Scanpack 2015 on booth H 06:05.
Plastipak acquired APPE on 1st July, 2015 creating a single European entity comprising 14 production plants in 12 different countries. The move has augmented Plastipak’s position in Europe, providing a solid platform for further growth, and compliments Plastipak’s other regional businesses in North America, South America, and the recent expansion in to China.
Working with prominent household brands throughout Europe, Plastipak produces award-winning rigid plastic preforms, bottles and wide-neck containers for a range of markets including beverage, food, home and personal care. With a leading reputation in the design, manufacture and supply of rigid plastic preforms and bottles, Plastipak is marking its launch into the Nordic countries by exhibiting at Scanpack 2015.
Plastipak’s Nordic Sales Manager, Marcus Wagell, said: “Customers in the Nordic region now have the opportunity to benefit from Plastipak’s global expertise, innovation and design excellence on a local level. We look forward to introducing our rigid plastic packaging product portfolio to the market at Scanpack 2015.”
With over 30 years’ experience in rigid plastic innovation, Plastipak develops innovative solutions to meet the most challenging of requirements. A key example is the award winning ThermaLite® range, revolutionary 100% PET jars that have been specifically designed for the food market as a replacement for glass packaging. The jars, which can be hot filled at temperatures up to 95°C and then pasteurized, are up to 85% lighter than glass and perfect for a variety of food applications such as cooking sauces, pasta sauces, pesto, tomato-based products, pickled vegetables, relishes, chutneys, fruit purées, jams and spreads.
Plastipak is also a pioneer and expert at container light-weighting and replacement of other substrates such as glass and carton. Light-weight preforms and containers provide a significant reduction in material consumption and logistics, having a direct impact on customer’s carbon footprints.
With an excellent track record in providing solutions to complex projects, representatives will be on hand throughout the show to demonstrate how Plastipak is a leading innovator in the European packaging industry.
