Economic upswing in Gothenburg and a successful year for Platzer

• Rental income increased to SEK 1,201 million (1,142)
• Income from property management increased to SEK 759 million (680)
• Profit for the period increased to SEK 1,709 million (1,374)
• Property portfolio increased to SEK 26,031 million (22,575)
• Earnings per share totalled SEK 14.24 (11.40)
• Best Q4 net lettings in office market since 2017
• Strong future earning capacity
• High occupancy rate in our projects thanks to high demand
• Board of Directors proposes a dividend of SEK 2.20 per share (2.10), to be paid in two instalments of SEK 1.10 each

Platzer’s CEO, P-G Persson, said:

- 2021 was a record year for property transactions in Sweden. It was also the best year in terms of growth for us here at Platzer, as our property assets grew by SEK 3.5 billion without shareholder contributions, more than at any time during my tenure as CEO. In addition, rental volumes are back to the levels seen before the pandemic, with increased rent levels in many districts, driven by lettings in new production. Overall, our net lettings were positive in every quarter. Seen across the year as a whole, we also achieved positive net lettings for both our segments, i.e. offices and industrial/logistics.

- During the year we took several new financing measures. We were assigned a BBB- credit rating by NCR, which also stated that our outlook is stable, we developed a green framework for our financing and we launched our MTN programme. During the year we also increased the percentage of green financing by 14 percentage points to 66%. Our focus on the three sustainability dimensions also resulted in us being included in the EPRA Index, receiving an award by MSCI and our share being classified as green equity by Nasdaq.

- Together with the entire workforce I am also proud that we are working daily to realise our vision: “making Gothenburg the best city in Europe to work in”. At a time when property is increasingly seen as a commodity where the owners are only interested in returns, it feels good to represent a company where we can say with conviction that we are contributing to the development of Gothenburg.
