Hemmakväll acquires parts of film2home

Hemmakväll acquires parts of film2home film2home AB is now owned by two of Sweden’s largest companies in the movie industry; Bonver Videodata AB and Hemmakväll AB. The transaction, making Hemmakväll part owners of film2home, is announced today. This introduces Hemmakväll to the digital market and film2home strengthens its position as a leading player in the transactional video on demand business in the Nordic region.

film2home was one of the first services in the world introducing movie streaming in 2001 and is today a leading player focused on the latest movies and the best streaming quality. film2home is operating in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

Hemmakväll and Bonver
Today, Hemmakväll has 103 Hemmkväll stores, 4 Buylando stores, 103 Hemmakväll Express machines and headquarters in Landskrona, Sweden. Together with the Bonver group, which handles film distribution to over 2.000 stores in the Nordic countries, the new film2home owner duo represents a majority of the movie rental business in the region.
