Plotagon iPhone version now available in the app store
Plotagon brings the ability to animate anywhere imaginable with the launch of their anticipated iPhone version. Available on the iTunes app store, the Plotagon app allows users to imagine, create and animate a video, all with an easy-to-use interface. With guided tutorials and colourful characters and scenes, Plotagon videos are easily shared to popular social networks such as Facebook and Twitter and on the Plotagon network.
Following the release of the app for Mac, PC and iPad in July, the demand for a mobile application was clear. “The beauty of Plotagon is that it’s so simple to make an animated video. You just need an idea. With the iPhone app you can create an animated video when the idea hits you, whether it’s at home or on the bus,” said Jonathan Hise Kaldma, Creative Director at Plotagon.

The goal of the Plotagon team is simple. “We want to make it easy and fun for anyone to create and watch animated videos,” comments Hise Kaldma.
Making a video with Plotagon is as easy as taking a photo with your phone. The user doesn’t have to know anything about drawing, rendering, or editing. They simply need to have a story to tell, and a desire to share that story. Be it a joke, a heartfelt moment, a film or a short story, the user just needs to write a story and press play.

Plotagon is a user-friendly creative app that allows anyone to tell stories as animated videos. The method is simple: the user chooses the characters and scenes, writes their story in the form of dialogue, and add sound effects and music all with easy drop down menus and clicks of a button. When the user has finished tweaking it is a matter of pressing play and the app animates the movie automatically - no need for knowledge of animation at all. Behind the scenes Plotagon have taken care of lighting, camera angles, animation, lip syncing and editing. The user only focuses on communicating their story.
Anyone can download versions for Mac or PC from Plotagon.com. The basic app is free and comes with two characters, one scene, music and sound effects. Users can download two more free characters within the app. More characters and scenes can be added via in-app purchases, most of which are $.99 or $1.99 each. Scenes and characters can be used in any combination and new ones will be available every few weeks. Users can share their animated stories on the Plotagon network and on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.
