Henrik Lif takes over as permanent CEO of CPS Color Group

CPS Color, the world leader in colour solutions, strengthens its position by appointing a new CEO with experience from multiple industries.

Vantaa, Finland, November 26, 2009. Swedish born Henrik Lif has been appointed as permanent President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CPS Color Group Oy. CPS Color is the world leading supplier of advanced colour solutions for the global paints and coatings industry. ”CPS Color is an exciting company with multiple opportunities. The key focus areas right now are to improve our product and service offering and to strengthen our position in the emerging markets of our industry. I believe that we have a great potential in capturing that growth”, Mr. Lif says. Mr. Lif (born 1972), has acted as interim CEO of CPS Color Group Oy since April 1, 2009. Notably, Mr. Lif’s prior work experience includes NC Advisory AB, adviser to the Nordic Capital funds, and management consultancy firm Arthur D. Little. He has further served as a board member of Anticimex, an indoor climate firm, and KappAhl, a leading Nordic fashion retailer and as Chairman of the Nomination Committee for Biovitrum, a pharmaceutical researcher. Both KappAhl and Biovitrum were listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange in 2006. Jorma Halonen, Chairman of the Board of CPS Color believes that Mr. Lif’s knowledge and experience from multiple industries will be a great asset for the company. “We have seen a very good development of CPS Color since Henrik Lif joined as interim CEO in April. Henrik has the strategic, financial and operational capabilities needed to run this global and multi cultural corporation,” says Mr. Halonen. CPS Color was established in 2000. It has roots in three pioneering companies: Tikkurila-CPS, Winter Bouts and Corob. Today CPS Color employs 850 professionals in 11 countries. The head office is situated in Vantaa, Finland. CPS Color is majority owned by Nordic Capital Fund VI.
