Pointsec distributor Metro places new order worth SEK 5.5 million.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – May 26, 2005 – Pointsec®, the global leader and de facto standard for enterprise security software for desktop PCs, laptops, PDAs and smartphones, today announced an order from Metro, a business partner and Pointsec distributor in Japan. Metro has purchased Pointsec licenses worth a total of SEK 5.5 Million, a transaction that is booked in Q2, 2005. Data protection and compliance with new requirements on privacy and corporate governance initiatives has rapidly become a major issue for Japanese businesses and government. This calls for action resulting in increased demand for authentication and media encryption solutions provided by Pointsec. “The additional order from Metro testifies to our continued success in the Asia-Pacific market,” said Peter Larsson, CEO, Pointsec. “Japan now ranks as Pointsec’s second most important country in terms of revenue.” Pointsec’s software ensures that encryption is performed according to an organization’s security policies without requiring action on the part of end users, and its exclusive “on-the-fly” encryption method results in virtually no performance difference for the device.
