Polygiene appoints new Chief Financial Officer
Ulrika Björk has been appointed new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Polygiene AB. Ulrika has extensive experience from executive positions, most recently as CFO for Hemmakväll AB. Prior to that, she has held various positions within finance and accounting at companies such as global furniture retailer IKEA and the Kemira Group, a global chemicals company. Ulrika will be taking up her new post on 10 May 2017.
After playing a central role in listing Polygiene on Nasdaq First North in 2016 and in establishing more structured monitoring and reporting processes, Polygiene’s current CFO, Jan Bertilsson, has decided to pursue new challenges outside the company. He will leave Polygiene in May after handing over the CFO role to Ulrika Björk.
Ulrika is currently CFO of Swedish entertainment chain Hemmakväll, a position she has held since December 2013, where she is responsible for managing corporate financial matters for Sweden’s largest entertainment chain with more than 100 stores, which provide rental films, snacks and candy in 75 cities nationwide and sales of approximately 700 million SEK.
With her solid background in financial monitoring and reporting and in dealing with complex international transactions, Ulrika brings with her valuable experience that is highly relevant to Polygiene. Her proven leadership and communication skills will be of great value for Polygiene where, in addition to the traditional CFO work, she will also be actively involved in activities related to the company’s investor relations.
