MCS’s Board of Directors today announces the appointment of Michael Berg to the position of acting CEO. Michael Berg has extensive experience from a number of senior positions and transformation processes within various industries in Europe and the USA and is a member of the Triton Industry advisory board.

Stockholm, Sweden – 13th October 2010 – MCS has during the past two years seen several transformational changes. MCS has gone from being part of Munters to becoming an independent company with new ownership and strategy, leading to new conditions for the company.

MCS’ Chairman, Magnus Lindquist comments: “Having completed the first step of the stand alone process the company now faces new opportunities and challenges. Therefore the Board of Directors believe it is necessary to rapidly appoint a new CEO with relevant experience to implement the independent company’s new strategy. Michael Berg, who has been part of our Industry advisory board since 2008, has with short notice agreed to step in and lead the company. Michael is a recognized business and change leader and he brings more than twenty years of international B2B and B2C experience from various industries in Europe and US.”

Michael Berg is currently member of the Industry advisory board of Triton and has an advisory role to Triton. He previously held the position as Executive Vice President of the Getinge Group and has close to ten years of experience from various positions within the Tetra Pak Group and Superfos. Michael will take up the position as acting CEO with immediate effect.

“I am looking forward to this opportunity. MCS is a global leader with its full service offering within property damage restoration and temporary humidity control services and has a strong position among its customers. Triton, the new owners of MCS, has acquired the company because they believe MCS is a company with high quality customers and services, and a strong potential to develop and grow further. Key areas going forward will be to continue to build our customer relations while simultaneously keeping a strong focus on profitability and efficiency” comments Michael Berg.
