Patent granted for Dendritic Nanogel carriers (DNG) in China
Polymer Factory Sweden AB (publ) announces that the patent application for the Company’s dendritic nanogel platform (DNG) has been granted and issued as of 13th December 2024, by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).
The DNG platform is an innovative nanocarrier platform based on dendritic materials, with the potential to encapsulate, transport, and control the release of cargo (e.g., pharmaceuticals, peptides, and antibiotics). DNG is Polymer Factory’s alternative carrier to already established liposome carriers.
CEO Elin Mignérus:
"A strong patent protection is valuable both for Polymer Factory and for potential future partners. China is a large market with much happening in the R&D sector, why we are happy to announce this milestone for the Company and for the DNG technology".
The filing date for the patent application is August 13, 2019, and it is granted for 20 years from the validity date, which provides market exclusivity during this period. Polymer Factory has filed corresponding patent applications in other geographies and was granted a patent for the DNG technology in the USA in July 2024.
