Report this content

PostNord will transfers its parcel business within business area Logistics to business area Breve Danmark. The organizational change involves a concentrated effort in the Danish market under the brand name Post Denmark to counter increased competition within the parcel area. The changes will be will be implemented as of 1 January, 2013.

In recent years, PostNord’s parcel operations inDenmarkhave been challenged by increasing competition and price pressure. PostNord now transfers the organizational responsibility for parcels sent by business customers (B2B and B2C) from business area Logistics, to business area MailDenmark. MailDenmarkwill consequently run both the mail business and the parcel business inDenmark. This will enhance opportunities to streamline and focus the overall offering and strengthens PostNord’s competitiveness in the market.

The organizational change involves no change to the Group's strategy, whose core focus is on profitable growth within logistics, and changes and conversions to defend the profitability of the mail business.
