PowerCell participates at the Hannover Industrial Fair

PowerCell was represented by its CEO Per Wassén, when the world’s largest industry fair Hannover Messe, was inaugurated yesterday by the German chancellor Angela Merkel and the Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfvén.
PowerCell will be exhibiting its leading fuel cell technology at the fair.

The Hannover Messe is the world’s largest industry fair and attracts enormous attention every year. This year Sweden is partner country to the fair and the Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfvén participated in the opening ceremony together with the German chancellor Angela Merkel. As Partner country Sweden has its own Swedish Pavilion where several leading Swedish industrial companies are showcasing its products and technology. One of the companies is PowerCell which is represented at the fair by Per Wassén and other members of PowerCell’s management team. PowerCell is also displaying its products and technology in exhibition booth C48 in hall 27.

“This is a great opportunity for us to present our leading technology for the world”, Per Wassén, CEO of PowerCell said. “But its also a great chance for us to highlight our growing and increasingly important presence in the German industry and in the German market.”

PowerCell is cooperating closely with several German industrial and automotive OEMs, not the least within the German project Autostack Industrie, ASI. The Autostack Industrie project is a joint initiative of the German Automotive industry to create the technological and production technology prerequisites for the commercial introduction of fuel cell vehicles in Germany and Europe by around 2021. The German auto manufacturers BMW, Daimler, Ford and Volkswagen are also key stakeholders in the project.

In August last year PowerCell also signed an MOU with the German industrial company Siemens regarding a joint development of fuel cell-based propulsion and power generating systems for marine applications. In December PowerCell signed a term sheet with the German automotive supplier Robert Bosch GmbH, concerning PowerCell S3 for the automotive segment.
