To meet an expected increase in growth and demand for hydrogen-electric solutions, PowerCell Sweden AB is making changes to its Management Group.

Director of Sales and Marketing Andreas Bodén will assume responsibility for developing new strategic business initiatives while Karl Samuelsson, who is currently Chief Operating Officer (COO), will assume a more focused responsibility for product development.
The company has appointed Patrik Brouzell as new Senior Vice President, Product Sales and Torbjörn Gustafsson as the new COO.

As the new Senior Vice President, Product Sales, Brouzell will be responsible for consolidating the company’s product sales, while Gustafsson’s new position as COO will include responsibility for scaling up industrial stability in conjunction with the company’s growth. Both Andreas Bodén and Karl Samuelsson will remain as members of the company’s Management Group. The changes to and strengthening of the Management Group are being conducted as the result of increased growth and the substantial increase in interest for our hydrogen-electric solutions.

Patrik Brouzell has already assumed his position, coming most recently from the role of CEO of LWW Group. He will assume responsibility for developing PowerCell’s product sales to prioritized segments and establishing complementary marketing channels. Brouzell will also join the company’s Management Group and will report to CEO Richard Berkling. Torbjörn Gustafsson, who will also join the Management Group and report to the company’s CEO, was most recently employed at Christian Berner Tech Trade where he serves as CFO. Gustafsson will begin his position at the beginning of 2022 and assume responsibility for securing industrial stability when the company needs to scale up in production as well as purchasing and quality.

The current Director of Sales and Marketing Andreas Bodén will assume responsibility for new strategic business initiatives and drive the development of new product offerings and complementary business models. Responsible for strategic business initiatives, he will also be tasked with accelerating growth in the hydrogen-electric market as a whole. Bodén will remain in the Management Group and report to the CEO Richard Berkling. The current COO, Karl Samuelsson, will assume a more focused responsibility for product development and will also remain as a member of the Management Group and report to the CEO Richard Berkling.

“To be in an even better position to capitalize on the substantial increase of interest in hydrogen and hydrogen-electric energy solutions, PowerCell Sweden needs to increase its focus on strategic business development. Our commitment to contribute to the rapidly emerging market means that we support customers in their energy transition by lowering the threshold for a conversion to new, emission-free technology.  At the same time, we are seeing how greater demand for our products means that we need to increase and streamline our production to be able to better meet customers’ growing needs,” says Richard Berkling, CEO of PowerCell Sweden AB.
