3G WORLD CONGRESS 2005, HONG KONG, November 16, 2005 - Powerwave Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:PWAV), a global supplier of wireless infrastructure solutions, today announced it will showcase its 3G product line at 3G World Congress, the premiere event in Asia for the global mobile and wireless industry. More than 150 manufacturers, suppliers, and telecom operators will gather at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre to exhibit the latest in wireless infrastructure; mobile and wireless devices; wireless services; semiconductors, test and measurement equipment; and, consumer and business software applications. During the 3G Congress, Ronald J. Buschur, Powerwave’s CEO will speak on “Cost-Effective Strategies and Solutions to Increase the Coverage and Capacity of 3G and Broadband Wireless Networks” as part of the Keynote Plenary Session on Thursday, November 17 at 11:30 am. Powerwave will also showcase its next-generation 3G wireless communications solutions including Base Station Antennas; Remote Electrical Tilt (RET) Modules; Clean Site™ Antennas; Tower Mounted Amplifiers (TMAs); Multi Carrier Power Amplifiers (MCPAs); Indoor and Outdoor Distributed Antenna Systems; Repeaters; and, NetWay Manager™ Software. According to a January 2005 statement by the UMTS Forum, global subscriptions to 3G/UMTS networks at the beginning of 2005 had already reached 16 million on more than 60 networks - a dramatic increase since the 10 million-customer milestone was passed in September 2004.
