Ideally Suited for Indoor and Outdoor Environments, Key Benefits Include Low Insertion Loss, Integrated Lightning Protection and a Robust Design 3GSM World Congress 2006, BARCELONA, Booth #F36 – Feb. 15, 2006 - Powerwave Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:PWAV), a global source for end-to-end wireless infrastructure solutions, introduced its indoor and outdoor broadband current injectors today at 3GSM World Congress 2006, the mobile industry’s premier event, taking place February 13-16, here in Barcelona. Designed to apply direct current (DC) power to a tower mounted amplifier (TMA), as well as communicate alarm conditions from that same TMA, through the coaxial feeder cable, Powerwave’s indoor and outdoor broadband current injectors are ideal for small indoor spaces and exposed outdoor environments. Powerwave’s LGP233nn (indoor) and LGP213nn (outdoor) broadband current injectors feature advanced lightening protection circuits that operate as surge protection, eliminating the need for traditional lightening arrestors in the base station unit. Other key benefits of Powerwave’s LGP233nn and LGP213nn broadband current injectors include low insertion loss and compatibility with the Antenna Interface Standards Group (AISG) and Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). “Powerwave continues to lead the industry in the development of innovative wireless infrastructure technologies,” said Ronald J. Buschur, President and CEO, Powerwave Technologies. “We are pleased provide our customers with indoor and outdoor broadband current injectors that enable them to efficiently, and cost-effectively power and monitor their tower mounted equipment.” Powerwave’s LGP233nn and LGP213nn broadband design supports 800MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 1900MHz GSM/EDGE and 2100MHz W-CDMA frequency bands.
