Doctor's Race Team Raises $15,000.00 for "Autism Speaks Foundation"

Williamsville, NY – Dr. Daniel Buscaglia of Cosmetic Vein and Laser Center along with other area doctors and colleagues put together a team and are running in the NYC Marathon on Nov. 4, 2012 to benefit the Autism Speaks Foundation. Collectively, they have raised $15,000.00 to date.

Running with Dr. Buscaglia are Dr. Linda Theotokatos, Dr. Courtney Watt, Mike Kozlowski and Dave Kozlowski. "As doctors, we are here to help those in need. Autism is a disease that touches us all - either through association or being related to someone with Autism. By running this race with my colleagues, together we can be a voice for those who have none," says Dr. Daniel Buscaglia.

All members of the team are very ardent about this foundation. Each one has a keen interest in finding a cure for this disease which ravages the senses of its victims. The dedicated team are determined to do the 26.2 mile run in spite of the devastation of hurricane Sandy along the route through the five boroughs of NYC.

Dr. Daniel A. Buscaglia, board Certified Dermatologist and Medical Director of The Cosmetic Vein and Laser Center in Williamsville, NY is passionate about everything he commits his time and effort to and is particularly passionate about the Autism Speaks Foundation, the charity he selected to donate to after the NYC Marathon. "We can't let a hurricane side track us off of our purpose to help those with Autism. That's why we will run, even in the aftermath of Sandy," continues Dr. Buscaglia.

The ING New York City Marathon 26.2 mile route touches all five boroughs of New York City: Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Manhattan. The course unites dozens of culturally and ethnically diverse neighborhoods, crosses five bridges, and finishes in world-famous Central Park. More than two million spectators crowd the sidelines. Dr. Buscaglia and his team have been training all year for this event.
