Precise Biometrics finalize acquisition of NexID Biometrics

Precise Biometrics, a leader in fingerprint software, has finalized the acquisition of the assets of NexID Biometrics, a specialist in spoof mitigation and liveness detection solutions.

Precise Biometrics has finalized the acquisition of NexID Biometrics after government approvals. Precise Biometrics informed the market about the acquisition through a press release on December 13, 2016.

NexID Biometrics develops and licenses liveness detection software that enables more secure fingerprint authentication. The acquisition enables Precise Biometrics to expand its offering of fingerprint recognition software with industry leading liveness detection that provides competitive advantages, strengthen the company´s position as the leader in fingerprint software and create further conditions for growth in the booming market for fingerprint technology.

NexID Biometrics turnover for 2016 was 2.2 million SEK, showing a minor loss. The company will be integrated in Precise Biometrics business area Fingerprint Technology, including three full-time employees.
