Ozark Natural Paneling Puts a New Spin on Rustic Walls and Ceilings
New Distribution Partnership with Boise/Houston Effective Immediately
Newport, Arkansas – Curtner Lumber Company introduces Ozark Natural Paneling, a new line of hardwood planks for walls, ceilings and wainscot that is nothing like the pressed veneer sheets of paneling you might remember from years past. Not an engineered product, Ozark Natural Paneling is solid hardwood that is durable and easy to care for and has unmatched rustic beauty. The individual planks, which are tongue-and-groove along with end-matching, allow the pieces to fit together easily making installation very simple.
“This is not your dad’s paneling,” said Herb King, Sales Manager. “Our paneling offers a rich hardwood look for your walls or ceilings that will make your floors jealous!” King continued, “Using our product is the most natural way to bring the outdoors inside with you and it’s the ultimate green material choice for your walls and ceilings.” To date, Curtner Lumber Company is the only known manufacturer of solid hardwood paneling on a production basis.
Boise Cascade’s Houston branch recently signed a distribution agreement with Curtner to supply Ozark Natural Paneling throughout South Texas. Wes Webb, Boise branch manager, says the rich quality, yet rustic style of the hardwood combined with its ease of installation will grab attention quickly. “This is a product with a unique opportunity,” said Webb. “Our employees installed the paneling here at our office to ensure the quality and provide a showcase for customers,” he said. “The quality of Ozark Natural Paneling is outstanding and our customers have commented on its distinct, elegant beauty.” For additional purchasing information, visit Curtner’s website at http://www.ozarknaturalpaneling.com.
Made in Newport, Arkansas, Ozark Natural Paneling comes from the finest, sustainable-growth “heirloom quality” hardwoods. The half inch thick planks are available in a variety of species with regional appeal, including red and white oak, wormy maple, knotty alder, cherry, walnut and rough-sawn canyon red oak. Species-matching mouldings are also available.
“Ozark Natural Paneling fits together like a puzzle and installs easily with nails and/or glue—it’s great for remodelers, builders or DIYers,” said King. “Our product is well suited for informal dens, rec rooms, man caves, hunting or fishing lodges, log homes, lake houses and cottages. Commercial applications include ski lodges, resorts, restaurants and office buildings. The paneling is very reasonably priced for a solid, natural hardwood product, retailing at around $3.00 per square ft.
Curtner Lumber Company has been in business since 1967, starting out as a saw mill. In 1983, it began sourcing additional lumber from other mills. In 2009, the operation transitioned into a hardwood distribution yard and manufacturer of Ozark Natural Paneling. King added, “We are excited to be leading a revival in this authentic wood look for walls and ceilings, engineered only by nature. It’s a whole new way to think about paneling.”
