NEW BPI.INDUSTRIAL PRODUCT MAKES AN IMPACT.

Manufacturers of heavy duty products looking to employ packaging with greater visual impact and the ability to more accurately portray their brand will now find it easier to do so thanks to bpi.industrial. Following an investment of over a £¼ million, the leading supplier of packaging to the building, aggregate, chemical and other industries and specialist division of (British Polythene Industries) plc, has enhanced its capabilities and can now offer pallet stretch hoods, printed on all four sides. Other packaging providers offer similar printed stretch hoods, but bpi.industrial believes it is the only one in the UK capable of producing them in sizes up to 1950mm layflat and in one continuous process. The benefit of being able to extrude, print and roll such large hoods in a single step is the reduction of film creasing issues and the elimination of weak points such as welded joins between different pieces of film. Speaking of the new hoods, Roy McAdoo, Commercial Director at bpi.industrial said: “Increasingly packaging is about more than just securing and protecting products as they move down the supply chain. It’s also about extending a company’s corporate identity and embodying its brand. “Recognising this, bpi.industrial has made a significant investment into additional production technology. As a result, we can now supply large stretch hoods printed on all four sides and able to incorporate up to two different designs, one per pair of opposite faces.” The manufacturer’s new infrastructure is also being supported by the capabilities of Promopack - another BPI business and a specialist provider of repro, design and printing plates to the flexographic printing industry. bpi.industrial and Promopack can work together seamlessly to offer clients a complete design to delivery service. Commenting, Roy McAdoo added: “The new hoods are already being employed by some major manufacturers of items like bricks and pavers and their feedback has been highly favourable.
