New website promotes greener shrinkwrapping

A recently launched website is hoping to increase the use of a greener shrinkwrapping solution. www.nov8shrinkfilms.com has been introduced by bpi.films, the UK’s leading manufacturer of pallet stretch, shrink and converter films, as part of a campaign to raise awareness of its newly developed Nov8 product. Released in late 2009, Nov8 offers superior environmental credentials thanks to its use of the very latest downgauging technology. It offers all the performance of a thicker shrinkwrap but from a thinner film profile meaning less film by volume is used and less packaging waste is created. Plus this reduced waste can be recovered rather than sent to landfill as Nov8 is 100% recyclable. Aside from highlighting the dividends of this downgauging and recyclability, the new site also explains a number of Nov8’s other environmental advantages. This includes the fact that it’s produced using solvent free technology, eliminating ozone damaging Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from the printing process. Additional attention is given to the fact that Nov8 also allows users to go green without forgoing other important qualities like strong aesthetics. To ensure impressive product presentation and maximum on-shelf stand-out, Nov8 has been developed to provide excellent optical properties. It not only benefits from a high gloss finish but it can be printed with photo quality results in up to eight different colours. Speaking on the launch of the new site, Louise Aplin, Marketing Manager at bpi.films, said: “Nov8 is an innovative new product which offers improved environmental credentials whilst surpassing the performance of existing shrinkwrap solutions. Once people try it we’re confident they’ll be converted and www.nov8shrinkfilms.com aims to facilitate that process.” - Ends - IMAGES: Nov8 wesbite.jpg CAPTION: Dedicated to greener shrinkwrap. bpi.films’ new Nov8 site aims to raise awareness of the waste saving benefits of this downgauged shrink film.
