Prize draw success for Dumfries agricultural contractor

An agricultural contractor from Foremannock, Dumfries is celebrating his success after being announced as the winner of a pallet of premium quality silage balewrap. George Shuttleworth scooped the bumper haul of Visqueen Poliwrap® after entering a free prize draw staged by bpi.agri - the leading manufacturer of silage balewrap and silage clamp sheeting - at this year’s Scotgrass exhibition. George, who wraps as many as 10,000 silage bales per year for local farmers, was ecstatic with his prize which was delivered to him earlier this month. Visqueen Poliwrap® is already his preferred brand of balewrapping film and he normally buys his supplies from local agricultural merchants, Tarff Valley (www.tarffvalley.co.uk). A tried and trusted choice for farmers and agricultural contractors across the world, Visqueen Poliwrap® enjoys global recognition for its exceptional performance and its impressive ease of use. It is suitable for use in a whole range of climatic conditions and offers good results when used with both conventional and high speed bale wrappers. It also benefits from a high tack level which improves the air barrier around the bale and that eliminates long tails as any trailing film simply adheres to the bale’s wrapped surface. Speaking of his success, George said: “I was over the moon when I took the call telling me I was the winner of bpi.agri’s Scotgrass prize draw. Visqueen Poliwrap is a great product and to receive so much of it for free is absolutely fantastic.” Louise Aplin, Marketing Manager from bpi.agri, adds: “Scotgrass 2010 was a great event for bpi.agri which saw us launch a new silage clamp sheeting film known as Visqueen Clingseal, hold a Q&A session with an acknowledged silage expert and stage our balewrap prize draw. We’d like to congratulate George on winning the prize of a free pallet of balewrapping film and to thank the scores of other people who entered.” This year’s Scotgrass took place on the 11th May 2010 at a one hundred plus acre site at the Scottish Agricultural College’s Acrehead unit. It was attended by almost 5000 visitors including farmers from the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland. ENDS IMAGES: Scotgrass winner.jpg CAPTION: By George, that’s a lot of balewrap!
