Leading manufacturer of disposable polythene products for the healthcare sector, bpi.healthcare has announced its plans for Infection Prevention 2012. At the event, which ranks as the largest infection prevention and control exhibition in the UK, the business will showcase its technically advanced product portfolio as well as its on-going commitment to excellent customer service.

In particular, visitors to the bpi.healthcare stand (Stand G6) will be able to learn more about the business’ high quality, fit-for-purpose waste management and infection control solutions, comprising of clinical waste sacks, refuse sacks, specimen bags, aprons and bedding protection as well as more specialist items like slide sheets, designed to aid patient movement.

Most notably, this includes bpi.healthcare’s new range of heavy duty Tiger Stripe clinical waste sacks. Available in a variety of sizes, these sacks provide additional strength and advanced protection against leakage, enabling the safe disposal of clinical waste according to regulations. As a further benefit, the sack is completely latex-free and boasts a low carbon footprint.

In addition, staff from bpi.healthcare will be promoting the benefits of its latex free protective aprons. Highly effective in eliminating the risk of cross-contamination to staff and patients, these aprons include static free and non-slip paediatric grades as well as an antibacterial option which is effective against MRSA and C. difficille.

From a service and support perspective, the business will also be showcasing its free, no-obligation audit service. This service looks at an organisation’s existing product usage – assessing everything from product quality and specification to working practices and supply arrangements – to identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency without sacrificing on product performance or patient care.

As Lorcan Mekitarian, Sales Director at the business, explains: “As a leading supplier of polythene products to the NHS and wider healthcare sector for almost 20 years, bpi.healthcare is committed to being a complete solutions provider. This includes developing products that extend beyond clinical waste sacks to cater for a wide variety of healthcare needs.

“Whether you’re talking about the diversity of our product range, our impressive service and support initiatives or our levels of expertise, bpi.healthcare has a lot to offer customers in the healthcare sector. We intend on demonstrating this at Infection Prevention 2012.”

Infection Prevention takes place at the BT Convention Centre, ACC Liverpool from 1st to 3rd October. For more information on the show, please visit http://www.infectionpreventionconference.org.uk/
