Julian Long, Managing Director at specialist property recruitment consultancy, Foundation Recruitment, is set to give his expert opinion on ‘Recruiting, retaining and developing the best talent’ at this year’s Shopping Centre Conference. He will discuss the issue alongside fellow HR experts and practitioners as part of a panel debate chaired by editor of Shopping Centre Magazine, Graham Parker.

The annual Shopping Centre Conference, now in its second year, brings together over 350 professionals from across the UK and Ireland and from all areas of shopping centre management. It offers these individuals a forum in which to share experiences and develop best practice techniques.

The programme for this year’s event, which takes place on the 2ndMay 2012 at King’s Place in London, consists of various panel debates and presentations - including a keynote presentation by Michael Weedon, Deputy Chief Executive, British Independent Retailers Association.

Julian was asked to take part in the conference as a direct result of Foundation Recruitment’s success in the shopping centre arena. The business strives to be the recruiter of choice for the sector and operates a dedicated shopping centre management team that already works with many of the UK’s most high profile schemes, landlords and managing agents.

Speaking of his pending appearance, Julian said: “Foundation Recruitment prides itself on getting to the heart of the sectors in which we operate – whether that’s general practice surveying, property finance, property marketing, retail and leisure estates or shopping centre management.

“Our approach is largely based on developing an expert understanding of the challenges our clients and candidates face – and on formulating new and innovative ways of addressing them. I look forward to sharing some of this hard won knowledge at this year’s Shopping Centre Conference.”
